Nockolds Resolution is pleased to present its second briefing paper of the year. Titled Keeping Regulation Relevant, the February briefing paper explores the current state of the industry and reflects on the lessons learned in 2020.

Closely reviewing the impact that COVID-19 has had on complaints, and how regulators can best adapt to the current climate, the paper seeks to provide strategies and insights that ensure regulation remains effective and relevant into 2021.

Introduced by Jennie Jones, the Head of Resolution at Nockolds, the paper contains data and commentary that explains in great detail exactly how the pandemic has affected health regulation. The paper also reflects on the latest fitness to practise bulletin from the General Optical Council which focuses on the positive impact mediation has had on the profession.

Featuring insights from Matthew Redford, Chief Executive and Registrar at the General Osteopathic Council, the briefing paper also examines the role that cross-regulatory collaboration has had on the industry in 2020 and how this approach stands to benefit organisations on both a strategic and operational level.

Altogether, the briefing paper provides analysis and fresh perspectives which are designed to help regulators overcome the unique challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent changes it has brought about.
