As we all continue to navigate our way through this global crisis, our experiences will differ depending on our ability to find a way to respond.

Some may see this slower way of life as an opportunity to stop, reflect and enjoy a break from the usual daily grind; however, others may feel anxious, frustrated and disorientated.

The longer the pandemic and uncertainty about the future continues, the more attention we need to pay to our wellbeing.

There are things you can do to look after your mental wellbeing during this time:

  • Connect to people
    There are ways you can keep communicating with your loved ones: a text, phone call or video call can make all the difference to someone suffering with loneliness
  • Maintain a healthy lifestyle
    Ensure you have a good diet, sleep routine, rest and exercise
  • Manage your media intake
    Find sources of news and information you can trust during these challenging times and limit social media and news updates if you find these upsetting
  • Try a new hobby
    Activities such as gardening, reading, cooking and exercising outdoors can help reduce stress
